prediction: sd goes off sun 27th. just an educated hunch.
bouy # 42006 is reading 18 + feet tonight ............!! Maybe north cali will have some decent surf for a change...
Rincon is going off!
It really sucked today at San Pedro beach. My friend and I basically just bobbed in the water like shark bait.
hey mike, how are the waves at the lane today
You need to hit the waves in La Jolla! Last time I was there they were getting 6-7 foot swells!!! It was killer!!!
I'm going to South Africa in Nov. Planning to surf the coast from Durban down to the Cape. If anyone has surfed that area, I'd love to get some advice on spots, conditions, sharks, etc.
Does anyone know what that horrible fertilizer-like smell was on Friday and Saturday. It seemed to be coming from the water. It was strongest on Friday night from the north end of Pacifica to Ocean Beach. On Saturday it wafted in at Linda Mar for a bit.
PARA TODOS LOS SURFOS DEL MUNDO. THERES A "VIRGIN" BEACH THAT HAS REALLY GOOD WAVWE DURING THE HOLE SUMER THAT WE CALL IT """"PATOLE"""", THE WAVES LAST LIKE 400 METERS BECASE THE FORM OF THE BEACH, IT IS LOCATED BETWEN THE CITIES OF CULIACÁN AND MAZATLAN IN MÉXICO
east side sc 8/5/96: crap, wind, lulls, people, does'nt anyone work anymore?
Rodeo beach, better known as fort cronkite, 1pm 9/4/96, large wind swell, freaky currents, unforgiving closeouts, choppy n' sloppy, but lovin' it any way.
OB was sloppy, sloppy, sloppy on Tuesday afternoon. No shape, onshore winds, and just a few desperate surfers dropping in on mushy waves only to pull out immediately after a halfhearted bottom turn. Fall can't come soon enough.
Hello! From one cold break to another. New England is F I R I N G thanks to uncle Edourd. Surfed double over-head Matunuck, RI all weekend. Perfection. Aunt Fran is soon to follow. It's not often that I'm happy to be a right-coaster, but today, my good man, I am.
Surf was great yesterday! But today who knows? Just before high tide -glassy 2-4 foot ft faces.
Surf was messy at Ocean Beach. No one was out. I headed down to Half Moon Bay b/c some kooks from down south told a tall one about a NZ swell on the way. Stopped at Rockaway on the way down - no waves and unusually messy. Half Moon Bay yielded two surfers in the water. I waited 10 minutes to see if infrequent sets were coming through - but there were none. Seems like a good day for work.
